MY IOWA: Multicultural & International Student Summit
The MY IOWA Multicultural and International Student Leadership Summit is an overnight retreat. Open to all UI students, MY IOWA will give participants a chance to build connections and leadership skills with a diverse group of people who want to make the university a place where all feel welcome. This is a fun and exciting way to spend a weekend and develop meaningful relationships throughout your time at Iowa! The curriculum has strong connections with The National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) model and other leadership development experiences. This year, MY IOWA will occur on October 7-8, 2016, with 45 student spots available. Participants should arrive at IMU by 2:30 PM on Friday, and we will return to campus by 6:00 PM on Saturday. The event will be held at Valley Lodge in Muscatine, Iowa, with transportation, meals and lodging provided free of charge for all participants.
The MY IOWA experience extends well beyond the retreat itself. Participants continue to stay connected to campus resources, administrators, and fellow students, building upon the relationships formed.
