Food Pantry at Iowa
The Food Pantry at Iowa exists to alleviate food insecurity among University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff. The Food Pantry also strives to raise awareness about hunger issues on campus.
All student organizations with a focus on service are invited to have a representative on the Service Council. The purpose of the Service Council is to bring student leaders together monthly to engage in dialogue around collaborative events, provide campus with a collective effort of service/volunteerism, and serve as a launching point for new service based initiatives. Service Council aims to: Collaborate on large scale service projects; Recognize service leaders, events, and partners; and Stay Connected to what is happening on campus and in the community.
Upcoming Spring Meetings:

Volunteer Fair & Blood Drive
Along with the United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties and UI Student United Way, the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership hosts the Semi-Annual Volunteer Fair & Blood Drive each year in January and August.
Nonprofit agencies and service-based student organizations are invited to participate in this "Fair Days" event, where they can share more information about their role in the community and encourage students to get involved with their organization. Students are encouraged to attend this event to connect with local agencies and find opportunities to engage with our community in meaningful ways!
